Tôi Không Phải Robot, Im Not A Robot (2017)

Jung Dae-Yoon, one of the most outstanding directors of MBC Korea, has gained popularity across Asia after leaving a mark with the highly acclaimed drama W Two Worlds in 2016. This was an important milestone in his career before he further established himself with I'm Not a Robot in 2017. The 32-episode project, aired from late 2017 to early 2018, quickly became a phenomenon. With a script written by renowned screenwriter Kim Seon-Mi, the drama not only excelled in its storyline but also showcased impressive performances from the cast, contributing to its success. The story revolves around Min Kyu (Yoo Seung Ho),a handsome and intelligent man who lives in seclusion due to his allergy to human contact. Meanwhile, Ji-A (Chae Soo Bin) is an ambitious entrepreneur involved in buying and selling freedom. She receives a phone call from her ex-boyfriend Baek-Gyun (Uhm Ki-Joon),a world-renowned scientist in the field of android robotics. His latest creation, Android Aji 3, was modeled after Ji-A but was accidentally destroyed. The situation becomes complicated when he receives a request to send Aji 3 to Min Kyu, promising a substantial investment if the robot can satisfy Min Kyu. Baek-Gyun, with his arrogance, refuses to comply and instead proposes to Ji-A to go to Min Kyu's house and pretend to be Aji 3, offering her a significant sum of money. Ji-A, in desperate need of money, reluctantly accepts the request, leading to hilarious and unpredictable situations.
